Leapfrog 14 Years Old 2011 Benchmark Murray McDavid Cask Nr.875289 is an independently bottled single malt from the Laphroaig distillery, matured for 14 years in a classic bourbon barrel and bottled at cask strength 55.3% ABV. The nose offers ripe pear with maritime iodine notes and lively citrus accents, while the palate combines malt with oily peat smoke and creamy lemon, leading to a finish of soft peat and fine pepper spice. Only 223 bottles were filled, and the release is neither chill filtered nor colored. A smoky, citrus driven, maritime dram in its purest form.
