Matured at Sea – Limited Edition: This strictly limited single malt from Germany’s Sylt Island combines locally grown barley and pure spring water into a maritime rarity. Its maturation on the historic cutter “GRET PALUCCA,” moored in the port of List, is influenced by the harsh North Sea climate and the ship’s constant motion. The result is a multi-layered aroma featuring gentle smoke and peat, a salty ocean breeze, and hints of iodine, seaweed, and white pepper. A radiant amber glow, subtle vanilla, and a delicate malty sweetness complete the profile. As the only whisky in the world truly matured at sea, it reveals its full potential best enjoyed neat at around 14°C.
