Hercynian Heartgow Autumn 2026

Description

Hercynian Heartgow Autumn 2026 comes from Hercynian Distilling Co., the Hammerschmiede distillery in Germany's Harz mountains, and belongs to the Seasonal Collection of single malts created whenever the distillery changes between batches. It matured in first fill Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads and small octaves, and is bottled at 48% ABV, non chill filtered and without added colouring, limited to 384 bottles. The nose brings intense sherry, dark raisins and ripe cherries with vanilla and gentle oak; the palate shows concentrated sherry, dark fruit and fine oak, and the long finish turns to bitter chocolate and spiced oak.
