The Hakushu Sherry Cask 2013 Edition – Helmsdale Sticker Edition is a highly sought-after variation of one of the most iconic Japanese single malt releases of the 2010s. While the whisky itself is identical to the standard Hakushu Sherry Cask 2013, this version is distinguished by the added sticker of the renowned Helmsdale whisky bar, significantly enhancing its collectible appeal. Distilled at the Hakushu Distillery, located in the forested foothills of Mount Kaikomagatake, this single malt matured in carefully selected ex-sherry casks and was bottled on February 5, 2013, with a total outturn of just 3,000 bottles. Bottled at 48.0% ABV, it displays a deep mahogany colour and a rich yet refined character. The nose offers sweet aromas of tea, raisins and nutmeg. On the palate, it is smooth and layered, alternating between sweet, sour and gently bitter notes with pronounced sherry and fruit influence. The long finish balances sweetness, acidity and subtle bitterness. The Helmsdale sticker transforms this already rare whisky into an even more desirable collector’s piece.
