Description
Experience the Glen Mhor 1976, a rare single malt from the Scottish Highlands and part of the highly sought-after Rare Malts Selection. This original bottling matured for 28 years in carefully selected bourbon and sherry casks and was bottled in 2005 at a powerful 51.9% ABV. On the nose, Glen Mhor is unexpectedly gentle: aromas of beeswax, wildflowers, plums, and hints of coconut blend with creamy undertones and touches of apricot and malt. On the palate, the character shifts dramatically – intense, spicy, and boldly malty, with notes of cigar smoke, olives, and green banana. The finish is long, dry, slightly salty, and layered with cigar smoke and nutty wood tones. A challenging yet rewarding dram that carries the distinct fingerprint of the long-closed Glen Mhor distillery – a true rarity for collectors on Spiritory.
