Description

Glen Grant 43 Years Old 1978 Dram Takers Collection Gordon & MacPhail Cask Nr.20953 is a single cask Speyside single malt, distilled in 1978 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2022 after 43 years in a refill American hogshead. Rich honey, melon and passion fruit lead to poached pear, flambéed banana and candied lemon with mature oak, while the palate moves from smooth tobacco to apricot, light pepper and a touch of menthol before a full finish of bonfire embers and lingering tropical fruit. Bottled at 42.9% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring, it is limited to 87 bottles and carries the Dram Takers label, with two figures raising a glass in the style of the Book of Kells.
