Emill 5 Years Old Stockwerk is a Black Forest single malt whisky from the Emil Scheibel distillery, distilled and matured in the historic Scheibel Mühle in Kappelrodeck in the Achertal, where its casks rest across four floors of the old mill. Bottled at 46% ABV after five years, it shows a natural mahogany colour and opens with blossom honey, caramel and a coffee like note of dark roasted wood, followed by a smooth palate of honey and malt and a long, spicy finish with a touch of nutmeg. It won gold at the World Spirits Award in March 2020.
