Crolly Croithlí Cognac Single Cask Batch 1

Description

Crolly Croithlí Cognac Single Cask Single Pot Still Batch 1 is the first licensed single pot still Irish whiskey from Donegal, made from malted and unmalted barley and double distilled by direct fire in vintage Charentais copper stills from France, then fully matured in 300 litre French oak ex Cognac casks at the Crolly Distillery. Baked orange peel, toasted hazelnuts and Cognac lead to an oily palate of poached pear, dark honey and spiced fruitcake, with a gently warming finish of dried apricot. Bottled at a cask strength of 53.9% ABV, non chill filtered, natural in colour and limited to 1,000 bottles in Batch 1.
