The Buffalo Trace Single Oak Rye Bourbon is the inaugural permanent release inspired by the distillery’s landmark Single Oak Project and recreates the celebrated Barrel #80 profile that stood out in the original consumer tasting experiment. Matured for eight years and bottled at 45% ABV, this limited 375 ml release opens with caramel, vanilla, light baking spice, toasted oak, and subtle orchard fruit, before developing into a balanced palate of toffee, vanilla cream, seasoned oak, and mellow caramel sweetness. As the first ongoing bottling born from one of Buffalo Trace’s most ambitious bourbon studies, it offers both collectors and bourbon enthusiasts a chance to experience a whiskey shaped by years of oak and maturation research.
