Octomore 17.4 (108.2 ppm) and Glen Scotia 7-Year Festival Editions - 2026 Releases

Introduction & Overview

Two noteworthy new releases have emerged from the U.S. TTB database, highlighting upcoming highlights from iconic distilleries. The Octomore 7 Years Old Edition 17.4 108.2 PPM continues Octomore’s legacy of intense peat with a seven-year maturation crafted from Concerto Barley distilled on the Scottish mainland. At 57.2% ABV and 108.2 ppm phenol content, it promises a powerful and distinctive peated single malt experience. Alongside this, Glen Scotia celebrates the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2026 with the release of their seven-year-old limited edition, boasting a medium peated profile and a Ruby Port cask finish.

Design & Presentation

Both bottlings carry fresh label designs that have recently surfaced. While no detailed packaging descriptions are available, each label visually reflects the identity and special nature of the editions, including festival branding for Glen Scotia’s release.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

The Octomore 7 Years Old Edition 17.4 108.2 PPM matures in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and French Virgin Oak, contributing complexity and depth to its robust peat character. Glen Scotia’s limited edition is aged seven years and benefits from an additional six-month finish in Ruby Port casks. This finishing stage imparts lively red fruit aromas alongside the signature coastal notes of Campbeltown whisky.

Glen Scotia’s expression blends waves of rich peat with creamy vanilla, accented by black cherry jam, dark cherry, warming spices, fudge, and gentle saltiness, leading to a long smoky finish.

Release & Availability

Both whiskies are slated for 2026 release. The Glen Scotia 7 Years Old Campbeltown Malts Festival 2026 Limited Edition is bottled at 53.9% ABV, while the Octomore 7 Years Old Edition 17.4 108.2 PPM is at 57.2% ABV. No pricing or bottle count information has been disclosed so far.
