Jura 27-Year-Old Fèis Ìle 2025 Exclusive: A Single Cask Celebration

Feis ile Jura 2025 release
Limited to 300 Bottles, This Jura Sherry Cask Release Marks the Island’s Whisky Festival with Exceptional Depth
To mark Jura Day on May 30th during the renowned Fèis Ìle 2025 whisky festival, the Jura Distillery has unveiled an exclusive Jura 27-year-old single malt, available only on-site at the distillery. With just 300 bottles released from Cask #1895, this limited edition is a tribute to Jura’s island community and whisky heritage. Bottled at a robust 55.3% ABV, the expression was distilled on September 12th, 1997, and matured in a sherry cask before being bottled on May 3rd, 2025.
A Collector’s Piece in Every Sense
This festival-exclusive bottling presents a classic Jura silhouette, elegantly labeled and designed to echo the distillery’s coastal identity. The presentation is as refined as the whisky inside—an homage to the rugged beauty of Jura’s shoreline, enhanced with thoughtful touches for discerning collectors and fans.
Full Sherry Maturation Unveils a New Side of Jura
The whisky spent nearly three decades in a single sherry cask, allowing it to develop an extraordinary flavor profile that pushes the boundaries of Jura’s usual house style. As explained by Whisky Maker Joe Ricketts:
“With an additional three years maturation, #1895 builds on the complexity of our 2022 Fèis Ìle release, with notes of crystallized citrus, prune and hazelnut together with hints of polished leather and dark chocolate from its full-course Sherry maturation.”
A Festival Tribute to Jura’s Community and Craft
Kirsty Wright of Jura Distillery underscores the community spirit behind the release:
“People who know Jura, know Jura whisky. As a Scottish island community, we appreciate each and every visitor, which is why this release is exclusively available to those that join us for our whisky festival.”
Crafted with care and intention, this whisky celebrates Jura’s signature fruity and balanced profile, while offering an evolved, richer dimension shaped by extended sherry influence.
