The ninth release in Jim Beam’s celebrated Little Book series is here, and once again, Master Distiller Freddie Noe showcases his experimental spirit and deep family heritage. Named None for Granted, Little Book Chapter 9 is a limited edition blend of five carefully selected Kentucky Straight Rye and Bourbon Whiskeys, aged between 7 and 11 years, and bottled at a robust 60.9% ABV (121.8 proof). This chapter marks the result of 18 months of meticulous development, bringing together traditional craftsmanship and bold creativity.

A Design Rooted in Legacy

Presented in the signature Little Book bottle, the packaging remains true to the series' legacy. Clean lines, a tall silhouette, and handwritten labels emphasize the small batch nature of the release. The name "Little Book" itself is a personal nod to Freddie’s childhood nickname given by his grandfather, Booker Noe, preserving a legacy that runs deep in the Beam family line.

11-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
8-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey
8-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
7-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (two components)

Freddie Noe introduced unique production methods to enhance the depth of this release. One of the 7-year-old bourbons underwent an extended five-day fermentation, compared to Jim Beam’s standard three-day process—adding complexity and richness. Meanwhile, the 8-year-old bourbon includes brown rice in its mash bill, contributing butterscotch and stone fruit notes for a layered flavor profile that’s both unexpected and satisfying.
