Glenmorangie introduces A Tale of Spicesy, the sixth release in its acclaimed "A Tale Of..." series, celebrating the aromas and colors of vibrant spice markets. This limited edition single malt is matured in four distinct cask types, including Moroccan red wine casks—a first for Glenmorangie—adding a complex spice profile featuring ginger, saffron, nutmeg, and roasted almonds. At 46.0% ABV, this Highland whisky delivers a fragrant, sweet, and spicy experience that highlights the distillery's ongoing innovation in cask experimentation.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

Glenmorangie A Tale of Spices is aged in a unique combination of casks: Moroccan red wine casks made from French oak, new charred oak casks, scraped and toasted red wine casks, and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This blend infuses the whisky with layers of spice, fruitiness, and rich sweetness. Aromas include cumin, saffron, nutmeg, ginger, chili, and anise paired with floral notes like rose and jasmine, plus roasted almonds and eucalyptus. The palate delivers intense spice with ginger, black pepper, mustard seeds, balanced by sweetness from mint candies, brown sugar, and roasted almonds, finishing with cloves, leather, and mint.
