Glengoyne 2009 Single Cask Whisky for Selfridges

Glengoyne 2009 Single Cask Whisky for Selfridges

Limited to Just 259 Bottles, This Highland Single Malt Is a Collector’s Dream

Glengoyne, the award-winning Highland distillery renowned for its unhurried craftsmanship, has announced the launch of a limited-edition 2009 Single Cask whisky in collaboration with Selfridges. Bottled from Cask Number 1013, this 15-year-old single malt will be available starting June 18, 2025, across all UK Selfridges locations—London, Birmingham, Manchester Trafford, and Exchange Square—as well as online. With only 259 bottles available and priced at £250 per 70cl bottle, this cask-strength release at 54.2% ABV is expected to draw swift attention from collectors and connoisseurs.

A Design Inspired by Iconic Branding

The visual identity of this exclusive release mirrors Selfridges’ distinctive aesthetic. The packaging features the department store’s signature yellow branding, transforming this refined single malt into a standout collector’s piece. Glengoyne’s commitment to sustainability also shines through, with fully recyclable packaging that complements its environmentally conscious ethos.

Matured Elegance from a First Fill Sherry Cask

Hand-selected by Selfridges’ spirits experts, the whisky has been matured in a First Fill European Oak sherry cask, imbuing it with richness and complexity. Distilled in 2009 and aged for 15 years near the serene banks of Loch Lomond, this Highland expression reflects Glengoyne’s signature slow distillation and fruity character—an outcome of Scotland’s slowest stills and a deliberately unhurried process.

“A Special Whisky for Discerning Customers”

“We are delighted to be collaborating with Selfridges in bringing this whisky to their discerning customers,” stated Caroline Fox, UK Commercial Director of Glengoyne. “The Selfridges branding which adorns the limited-edition bottles makes a special whisky even more of a collectors’ item.”
