Game of Thrones Whisky Collection Guide

Game of Thrones Whisky Collection Guide
The collections that have caused quite a stir in the world of whisky are definitely those that are associated with and often interfere with the world of pop culture.
Here, one of them is definitely the phenomenal Diageo x Game of Thrones combination, as the entire series.
A phenomenon on a global scale, that is, the adaptation of George R.R. Martin's saga. The series created in cooperation with HBO conquered and shattered all popularity statistics at the time.
Is there a Game of Thrones?
The narrative focuses on the brutal fight for the Iron Throne, a symbol of power over the Seven Kingdoms. The series is based on George R.R. Martin's bestselling book series, "A Song of Ice and Fire", presenting a colorful world in which nothing is black and white, and the morality of the characters is often a gray area. In the kingdom of Westeros, the fight for power, conspiracies and crimes are commonplace.
The range includes:
• Game of Thrones House Stark - Dalwhinnie Winter’s Frost; ABV 43%
• Game of Thrones House Tully - Singleton of Glendullan Select; ABV 40%
• Game of Thrones House Targaryen - Cardhu Gold Reserve; ABV 40%
• Game of Thrones House Lannister - Lagavulin 9yo; ABV 46%
• Game of Thrones The Night’s Watch - Oban Bay Reserve; ABV 43%
• Game of Thrones House Greyjoy - Talisker Select Reserve; ABV 45.8%
• Game of Thrones House Baratheon - Royal Lochnagar 12yo; ABV 40%
• Game of Thrones House Tyrell - Clynelish Reserve; ABV 51.2%.
• Mortlach 15yo; ABV 46%.
Clynelish Reserve - House Tyrell:
Clynelish is set amidst rolling green fields and rolling hills, with stunning views of the North Sea.
Royal Lochnagar 12 Year Old - House Baratheon:
Royal Lochnagar was considered a whisky fit for royalty; after a visit from Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1848, the distillery was granted royal status.
Dalwhinnie Winter's Frost - House Stark:
Extreme conditions create the distinctive honeyed sweetness and spicy warmth of Dalwhinnie Winter's Frost.
Cardhu Gold Reserve - House Targaryen:
The Cardhu Distillery was run by Helen Cumming and her daughter-in-law Elizabeth in the 19th century, a time when the whisky industry was almost entirely dominated by men.
Lagavulin 9 Year Old - House Lannister:
Lagavulin is one of the most iconic single malt brands, crafted on the Islay coast for over 200 years.
Talisker Select Reserve - House Greyjoy:
The layered flavours and distinctive maritime character of Talisker Select Reserve are the result of the island’s rolling shores.
Singleton of Glendullan Select - House Tully:
The power of water flows through both House Tully and Singleton of Glendullan Select, as this whisky is produced on the banks of the River Fiddich in the wooded hills of Dufftown.
Oban Little Bay Reserve - The Night’s Watch:
The Oban Distillery is nestled beneath a steep cliff overlooking the bay, on the border of the Western Highlands and the Scottish Isles.
Mortlach:
The oldest whisky in the Game of Thrones series, this 15-year-old whisky from the Mortlach distillery has been matured in both first-fill sherry casks and bourbon barrels. With a depth that matches the roots of the oldest weirwood tree, this whisky combines fresh fruit, vanilla and woody-spicy flavours – a trio worthy of the Three-eyed Raven that graces the bottle.
Personally, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I haven't watched the entire series and maybe I'll be tempted someday. The collection is complete and gathered, so it's possible that I'll end each season with a drama appropriate to the situation.
About the author

Damian Baran
I am in love with the world of whisky since 2021 after the first films about testing and discovering flavors. the story began with a bottle of Talisker 10, earlier of course brands such as glendifich or johnie walker appeared but it was Talisker that opened my eyes to the diversity of flavors and scents. currently with over 800 whiskies tried and head over heels in love with the climates of islay. finds his flavors in bottles such as ardbeg or lagavulin but I also willingly reach for peated whiskies such as glendronach sweet fruity climates of Speyside.
