The German importer Prineus has expanded its Ballindalloch lineup with two new releases from the Seven Springs Collection. These limited-edition single malts celebrate the seven Garline springs that supply Ballindalloch Distillery’s pure water. The Ballindalloch Distillery 8 Years Old Seven Springs Collection No. 2 and Ballindalloch Distillery 9 Years Old Seven Springs Collection No. 3 typically remain distillery exclusives, making their arrival in Germany noteworthy for enthusiasts seeking authentic expressions of the Ballindalloch spirit.

Design & Presentation

Both editions exhibit visually striking colors that pay homage to Ballindalloch’s heritage. The Seven Springs Collection No. 2 shows reddish-brown and golden hues reflecting the autumn tones of Ballindalloch Castle. No. 3 is presented with a bright copper tone, reminiscent of the distillery’s iconic stills, underscoring its classic character and craftsmanship.

Maturation & Flavor Profile

The 8-year-old No. 2 matured in a blend of bourbon and sherry casks, delivering rich aromas of chocolate and orange, capped by an elegant, spicy finish. Meanwhile, the 9-year-old No. 3 was aged in first-fill bourbon hogsheads and features a fruit-forward vanilla base complemented by herbal and mint notes. Both bottlings are bottled at cask strength, with ABVs of 60.6% and 60.3%, respectively, emphasizing intensity and depth in every dram.
