Balblair 18 Years Old 2008 Legends at the Bar The Unicorn The Caskhound is a Highland single malt from The Caskhound, an independent bottling that spent its entire 18 year maturation in a first fill Marsala hogshead and was bottled at natural cask strength of 52.5% ABV. The nose opens with apricot, orange peel, and ripe red apple, while the palate delivers an oily texture with apricot jam, blood orange, raisins, toffee, and a warming ginger and black pepper spice, leading to a persistent finish of orange, dark honey, cocoa, and walnut. Distilled on 4 March 2008 and bottled on 9 June 2026, this limited outturn consists of 215 bottles. Uncut, unfiltered, and naturally colored, this is a boldly fruity and spicy Highland malt shaped by its Marsala cask.
