Augustyn Malzmühlbach Batch 1

Description

Augustyn Malzmühlbach Batch 1 is a single malt whisky from the Stiftungsbrennerei in Munich Freiham and the first batch of its Augustyn range; it takes its name from the Malzmühlbach, a city stream that once powered a Munich malt mill. Made from Barke barley with caramel, roasted and peated malt, it is double distilled in copper pot stills, matured mostly in Oloroso, Amontillado and cream sherry casks with a share of bourbon casks, and bottled at 48.1% ABV. Dark chocolate, cocoa, espresso beans and dried fruit lead the nose; the creamy palate brings caramel, red grapes, vanilla and cinnamon, and the finish is very long.
