Description
Ardbeg 14 Years Old 2011 Committee Single Cask No. 506 Ardbeg Day 2026 is an exceptional and historically significant single cask release marking the beginning of a new era for Ardbeg. Selected by Bryony McNiven – the first female Distillery Manager of the modern Ardbeg era – this highly limited edition symbolizes innovation, tradition and the unmistakable spirit of the distillery. Distilled in 2011, the same year Bryony famously wore a lab coat reading ‘Distillery Manager in waiting’ at an Ardbeg Day tasting, this single malt matured for 14 years in a first-fill Marsala barrique. The result is a richly indulgent and complex Ardbeg, balancing intense sweetness with powerful peat smoke and elegant fruit character. On the nose, bonfire smoke intertwines with dark fruits, red berries, spicy Marsala notes and maritime influence. The palate is bold and full-bodied, revealing smoked malt, caramelized fruits, dark chocolate, warming spices and sweet fortified wine richness. The finish is long and intense, combining sweet smoke, spicy oak and salty Islay minerality. With only 414 bottles in existence, Ardbeg Single Cask 506 stands among the rarest modern Committee releases and is a highly desirable collector’s piece for Ardbeg enthusiasts worldwide.
