Akkeshi Twelve Zodiac Series Hitsuji

Description

Akkeshi Twelve Zodiac Series Hitsuji is the first release in Akkeshi's new zodiac line, which follows the completed 24 Solar Term Series and will add one bottle each year over twelve years, each with an animal from the Hokusai Manga on its label. Made from barley from the UK and Hokkaido, it is bottled at 52% ABV, and the series takes bourbon, sherry and Mizunara casks as its foundation. The nose shows chocolate and sweet castella, orange, lemon, mandarin and hassaku with peat smoke and a salty outline, the palate brings sweet orange and mandarin, tart lemon and lime, rich butter and savoury soy sauce, and the finish closes on black pepper, ginger, raisin and a lingering orange candy.
