The long-established Speyside distillery Mortlach, known as the “Beast of Dufftown”, has unveiled the Mortlach L'Evolution Collection together with renowned French designer and architect Philippe Starck.

This new collection marks the beginning of a creative partnership that transcends the boundaries of whisky and design. Starck, who recently joined Mortlach as creative director, brought his distinctive, avant-garde signature to the design of the bottles and the concept of the collection. The Mortlach L'Evolution Collection comprises three unique bottlings named BEGIN, BECOME and BEYOND.

“It was important for me to preserve the essence of Mortlach, but at the same time create something completely new and unexpected,” says Starck. “These whiskies are more than just a drink - they are a journey.”

The L'Evolution Collection is clearly aimed at collectors and enthusiasts who are prepared to invest in an exclusive whisky experience. The two bottlings “Begin” and “Beyond” are offered together for a recommended retail price of 10,000 US dollars, while “Become” is available individually for 365 US dollars. These prices reflect not only the rarity and quality of the whiskies, but also the artistic aspiration that goes into each bottle.
