The Ardbeg Committee is once again causing a stir in the whisky world: With the release of the Ardbeg 17 Years Old Committee Exclusive 2024 the legendary Islay distillery is once again setting standards in terms of exclusivity and quality. This strictly limited bottling is only available to members of the Ardbeg Committee and underlines the special relationship between the distillery and its most loyal fans. It goes on sale exclusively on September 26th and is only available to members of the Ardbeg Committee.

The Ardbeg Committee - A success story

The Ardbeg Committee, founded in 1997, was created during a period of upheaval for the distillery. After Ardbeg had experienced difficult times in the 1980s and early 1990s, the takeover by Glenmorangie marked a turning point. To celebrate the rebirth of the brand and mobilize its closest supporters, the Committee was created. It offers its members not only exclusive insights and events, but also access to special bottlings that are withheld from the general public.

Conclusion

The Ardbeg 17 Years Old Committee Exclusive 2024 is more than just a whisky - it is a symbol of the deep bond between Ardbeg and its most loyal fans. This exclusive bottling reflects the tradition and innovation that characterizes Ardbeg and demonstrates why the Ardbeg Committee is so highly regarded in the world of whisky. For the members, this whisky is not only a taste experience, but also an affiliation to a passionate and unique community.

Tasting note Ardbeg 17 Years Old

Color: Bronze

Nose: Fresh, clean with subtle notes of pine resin, aniseed, sea spray and a hint of lavender soap. The attack is gentle and unusually elegant and restrained for an Ardbeg. With a little water, mineral, flint-like aromas unfold, accompanied by sweet peat smoke, barley malt and a hint of toast.

Palate: A creamy texture coats the palate, followed by a delightful combination of aniseed toffee, café latte, fennel and a mild hint of antiseptic soap. The peat smoke is present but subtle and balanced.

Finish: The finish is long-lasting, characterized by pithy oak, cocoa powder and a hint of tar.
