Show distilling at the “Whisky & Indulgence Days” in Dresden - a highlight for whisky lovers

The “Whisky & Genuss Tage” in Dresden are coming up on September 27 and 28, 2024, and this year's event at the Alter Schlachthof promises a very special highlight:

the “Schaubrennerei am Hartmannsberg” will be giving a live demonstration of the traditional distillation process - a captivating show for all lovers of fine spirits.

Numerous regional spirits producers will be presenting themselves in the special “Central Germany” area. Names such as “Number Nine Spirituosen Manufaktur”, Glina Distillerie, “Feinbrandmanufaktur Brabant Rose Valley” and Freiberger Whisky-Manufaktur are just some of the exhibitors presenting their high-quality products. The popular master distiller Sandos Schubert, known as “Saxony's greatest distiller”, will also be distilling a barley whisky live on Friday and a rye whisky on Saturday.

Another highlight of the fair is the exclusive presentation of the “Dresden Old Town” whisky, which has been created especially for the fair since 2016.

The latest edition, matured in a cask with a blueberry wine pre-dressing, bears the illustrious name “Friedrich, the bitten” and is an absolute must for collectors and whisky enthusiasts.

The fair is open on Friday from 4 to 10 pm and on Saturday from 1 to 9 pm.

Tickets are available from 11 euros and early purchase is highly recommended as demand is high. Tastings can be booked in advance.
